The unique wireless design reduces installation complexity to simply plugging into an outlet. No television set or telephone line connections, no configuring of DSL routers. Expensive on-site calls to service panel participants are no longer necessary; all needs are met by a mobile network and a central online service. Custom requests and software modifications can be realized at any later point in time during regular panel operation.
2. Acquisition of in-home measured data
Up to six registered panel members and a maximum of nine guests log on and off via the included compact remote control. The integrated digital audio sensor identifies the current program. A signal processor converts the audio data into special, ultra-compact audio properties. Yet because the tracker does not record or transmit any reconstructable audio data, all participants’ privacy remains fully protected..
3. GSM data transmission to FAST back-end
The Audience Tracker AT08 communicates with the back-end via mobile network. The data transmission intervals are freely configurable; for example once per night or even live when real-time panel feedback is needed. A smart card chip – like those used in ATM cards – ensures the highest level of data security.
4. Measured data processing at FAST back-end
Using the audio properties from the measured panel data, the data is matched to a specific reference broadcaster at the FAST back-end and stored in a database. A special algorithm guarantees reliable broadcaster identification.
5. Convenient online data access
Request, retrieve, download and pre-evaluate measurement results all through one central web portal – either on a daily basis or on demand. Device and panel allocations can also be individually managed here. Configurable reports provide information on the current state of each individual device out in the field while older values can also be retrieved at any time.
